As well as working on embroidery projects herself, she also teaches embroidery skills on behalf of the Royal School of Needlework and for other organisations.

Phoenix from the Flames

5-6 July 2021

This design inspired by an embroidered glove and gauntlet from circa 1600, is currently on display at the Fashion Museum, Bath. The circular design shows the symbolic Phoenix rising from the flames.

This design is inspired by the beautiful ‘Esther and Ahasuerus’ embroidery panel on exhibition at the Holburne Museum, Bath. The project includes Surface Embroidery, Goldwork, and Raised Embroidery and is suitable for those with some experience of the techniques.
